Privileged and Empowered
Today I met Farshad Masoomi. I listened intently to the story of his life in Montreal and became absorbed by his wisdom, inner strength and optimism. As I heard the story of his journey and recorded it, it hit me that I was at the beginning of my own journey; one that I am certain will also be full of learning, humility and reflection. Although I realize I am privileged to be doing what I am doing, I feel at the same time empowered to make this project a success, as though it were my duty to raise people’s awareness and understanding of the real lives of immigrants in Canada.
This is the beginning of My Blog Journey. Enjoy the ride!
